Clerk & Recorder
The Clerk and Recorder’s Office is the official records center for Sanders County. Responsibilities of the Clerk and Recorder include but are not limited to, recording and maintaining the legal documents relating to real estate records, land descriptions, plats and surveys, county birth and death records and the records of the Board of County Commissioners.

Clerk of District Court
The Clerk of District Court is the official keeper of all District Court records for Sanders County. These records include Adoption, Civil, Criminal, Dependent Neglect, Domestic Relations, Guardianship, Juvenile, Paternity, Probate and Sanity cases. It is the Clerk of Court’s responsibility to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. The Clerk also issues, files and records all Sanders County marriage applications and marriage licenses.

County Attorney
The Sanders County Attorney is an elected position of four years and, because of the population of the county, a full-time county attorney. By law, the County Attorney is the legal adviser to the Board of County Commissioners, all elected officials of Sanders County, Fire Districts, and Weed Districts.

County Extension Office
The Sanders County Extension office is staffed by one full-time Agricultural / 4-H / Natural Resource Development Agent; and one full-time Family and Consumer Science / 4-H Agent. There is also an administrative assistant on staff.

The Election Office is responsible for the administration of all federal, state, county and special purpose district elections in Sanders County. School Elections may also be administered by the County Administrator, by request of the district.

Justice Court
Justice Court is the judicial branch of county government responsible for processing misdemeanor criminal offenses, traffic offenses and Fish and Game violations occurring in Sanders County. It is also the court where most people arrested for felony offenses have their initial appearance before a judge and have bail set. Justice Court also handles civil cases, landlord/tenant issues and Orders of Protection.
